The right cap size is the difference between a wig that feels secure and natural and one that does not. The good news is that measuring takes just a minute.
Why fit matters
A well fitted cap sits comfortably without pressure, keeps the hairline in place, and helps your wig look completely natural. Too loose and it shifts, too tight and it feels uncomfortable.
How to measure
Using a soft tape measure, measure around your head along the path a wig sits, about one centimetre above your ears and across your forehead and the nape of your neck. Keep the tape comfortable, not tight.
The main cap sizes
Petite fits up to about 53.5cm, Regular fits about 53.5 to 57cm and suits most women, and Large fits about 57cm and above. You can see full details on our cap size guide.
Adjusting the fit
Most wigs have adjustable straps inside the cap that let you fine tune the fit a little tighter or looser, which is helpful if you fall between sizes.
