There are moments in life that change us forever.
Moments that ask us to rebuild ourselves in ways we never imagined.
“I Am…” is a coffee table book being created to honour the women behind those journeys. A space for real stories, real emotions and real faces. A reminder that even through loss, uncertainty and change, there is still beauty, identity, softness and strength.
This book will feature women who have experienced cancer in all different ways. Through portraits, personal reflections and a simple but powerful statement beginning with the words:
“I am…”
“I am resilient.”
“I am learning to love myself again.”
“I am more than my diagnosis.”
“I am still me.”
Every story matters. Whether your journey is current, past, loud, quiet, painful, hopeful or somewhere in between, we would be so honoured to hear from you.
This project is about connection.
About helping women feel seen.
About creating something that others can pick up and feel less alone in.
What your submission may include:
- A portrait or personal imagery
- Your “I am…” statement
- Your story or reflections from your journey
- Any words, lessons or moments you’d like to share with others
You do not need to be a writer.
You do not need to have the “perfect” story.
You simply need to be you.
We understand sharing something personal can feel vulnerable, so please know this space has been created with care, sensitivity and respect. Every submission will be reviewed thoughtfully by our team.
