There is a range of financial solutions available to you within Australia: listed below are the various grants and rebates you can apply for.

TAX REBATES

Under the ATO taxation ruling TR93/34 you may be eligible for an income tax rebate on the purchase of your medical wig.

“Medical or surgical wigs for use by a person which is necessitated by loss of hair through sickness or disease (other than naturally occurring baldness) or the effects of the treatment of sickness or disease”

Ruling TR93/34 is as per below:
1. This Ruling explains the meaning of a 'medical or surgical appliance'
in paragraph (f) of the definition of 'medical expenses' in subsection
159P(4) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1936.

2. Section 159P allows a rebate for net medical expenses exceeding $1,000.
Net medical expenses includes payments for a 'medical or surgical
appliance' prescribed by a legally qualified medical practitioner.

​For further information it is best to contact your accountant on how to claim your tax rebate.

GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES - STATE

NSW

ENABLE NSW offers $1600 human hair wig subsidies to approved applicants with Alopecia. Evidence must be supported including a letter from your
doctor. The process can take around 3-6 months.

VICTORIA 
SWEP may contribute to the purchase of your human hair wig.

Financial assistance may be available for those who suffer from alopecia
who have a doctors referral and hold a DHA Pensioner or healthcare
card. 

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

The Department for Families and Communities (DFC) equipment program supplies wigs or contributes towards the purchase of wigs for eligible applicants.

Unfortunately at this stage Western Australia, Queensland, Northern Territory, and
the Australia Capital Territory don’t provide any relevant government subsidies.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We hope you love your new Milk & Honey product, but if for some 
reason the item is unsuitable we accept returns under the following 
conditions:

The items are un-worn and their original condition with lace in tactProducts must be in their original product packaging.The items have been received within 14 days.You have an invoice/order number and have contacted us prior to return shipping to create a Return Authority.

If your item meets our returns criteria, you can send your items back for; 

Full price orders - valid for refund or store credit.

Discounted or sale items - valid for store credit.

CAP SIZING

Synthetic wigs are only available in one size - “Regular.”

Each wig has an adjustable strap at the nape of the neck to loosen or tighten as needed.


Human Hair wigs are available in three sizes - Regular, Petite & Large.


If your measurements fall between the sizes specifications below, we would recommend sizing down. The ideal wig will fit snug and not require adhesive unless one is used as your personal preference.

How long does it take for Human Hair items to ship?

All Milk & Honey Human Hair products are custom made to order. This process usually takes around 14 to 20 business days, however can sometimes take longer. We do our best to have the items to you ASAP. Each item is handmade with love, which takes time to perfect and pass our quality standards. 

Is there a shop front where you can try on wigs?

We currently do not have a store front, MH is based exclusively online.

What is the Returns Policy?

Where is Milk & Honey based?

Our office is based in Taren Point - Sydney, Australia.

Can I use heat to tools on my synthetic wig?

You can use heat like your normally would on your own hair on any human hair wig,  Our synthetic wigs and ponytails are heat proof up to 150°C so make sure your heat setting is at that or below.

What cap size do your synthetic wigs come in?

All Synthetic Wigs come with a 'standard' or 'regular' adjustable cap size. 

However, our Human Hair range has the option to customise the cap to suit your needs.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times may vary depending on sale period and holidays, however, we do ship orders every day (MON - FRI) to ensure you have your order as soon as possible. Within Australia, with our express shipping option you can have your wig in 1-3 working days. Standard shipping can take 3-5 working days.

INT Shipping can take up to 3-5 days for Express DHL.

How do I cut the lace and install my lace front wig?

Cutting lace is quite easy. Before cutting the lace you need to decide whether you want to apply tape/glue the wig or not. We cut the lace quite close to the hairline, but not too close - leave about a cm. The lace is made to blend in with your skin, if it isn't a 100% match use makeup to colour correct.

What's the difference between human hair and synthetic hair?

Our human hair wigs are made with real Brazilian human hair and our synthetic wigs are made with synthetic fibre.

How long do your wigs last?

We have some customers wearing our wigs for up to a year after purchasing.

With the right care, and a little love, your wig can last you a very long time!

Is the hair good quality?

Our products are amazing quality. We hate to brag but once you try our synthetic wigs, you'll probably forget they are synthetic. You can also use heat as you like up to 180 degrees (Celsius) and style as you wish. The hair will not matte with the right care, and will last you a long time too.

Our human hair wigs are amazing quality too, they are made with Brazilian Human hair. 

Can I change my order?

Please contact milkandhoneyaus@gmail.com immediately with your order number and the changes you'd like to make to your order. Although we cannot guarantee that we'll catch your order in time before it enters processing, we will try our absolute best to make the requested changes.

What are your opening Hours / Days?

We are open Monday - Thursday 9AM to 5PM & Friday 9AM to 2PM. 
We are closed Weekends & Public Holidays. 
We are also closed across the Christmas & New Year break, dispatch of orders during this time will continue at a slower rate. Please keep an eye out for our Christmas order cut off announcements leading up to the holiday season to ensure you get your goodies in time.
